Tips for a great telehealth visit

We are so excited to be able to provide telehealth appointments for our patients when appropriate.  We are currently using, which has been easy to use and set up.  When you make your appointment for telehealth, we will e-mail or tell you a link to join your physician’s waiting room at the time of the appointment.  All data for these visits are encrypted and your information as well as audio or video of the interaction is not stored.

Here are few tips to make the telehealth visit as successful as possible:

  • Set up your camera on your phone, computer, or tablet and make sure the volume is on and the microphone is working;
  • Try and find a quiet place (but we realize that might be impossible!)  — during the visit, you will have our undivided attention;
  • Have some lighting in place so the doctor can see you well, and maybe a flashlight handy if you have one;
  • If you can, take your child’s temperature and have an updated weight in case these pertain to your visit.

If during the telehealth visit we believe the visit might be better in the office, we will schedule you for an appointment in the office at that time.

We are here for you.  Please let us know if you have any questions about our telehealth visits.
