Dr. Andy received his B.A. from Oberlin College, is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Madison Medical School, and completed post-graduate training at Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago, now the Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. Board Certified in Pediatrics, Dr. Andy is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at Northwestern University Medical School, a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and an attending physician at Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago and Evanston Hospital. He is also a Spokesperson for the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. Andy lives with his family and all-too-feisty Chihuahua in Skokie and plays bass guitar, often in some version of a “dad band”. His favorite part of his job is preventing and treating serious illness while adding joy and laughter to children’s lives. He truly values working with families and being a part of their lives as their children grow. Dr. Bernstein has been with North Suburban Pediatrics since 2001.
